We are HABI-Elite, a refugee non-profit Community Based Organization aiming at transforming life of refugees and host community from aid dependence to self-reliance. Our name comes from two words: HABI and Elite. HABI, from the name of our principal founder Mr. HABIMANA Hakizumwami whom we consider as our pioneer and whom was himself inspired by the refugee life that he has experienced once upon time before being resettled abroad. He then felt concerned and decided to help and advocate for those whom he had left behind. Elite, we meant that our aim is of transforming the lowest social class of refugees and host community to the highest one by providing them with high class services.
